New New York State Mandate

Due to the recent uptick in infection rates and increase in hospitalizations due to covid since Thanksgiving, Governor Hochul has implemented a new mandate to prevent overcrowding in local hospitals during the holidays. This new mandate affects all businesses which operate indoors (like yoga studios).

Individual business owners are asked to decide between two options:

(1) All patrons must wear a mask at all times, regardless of vaccination status. Which means, if everyone is vaccinated except for one person, all persons present must wear a mask.

OR

(2) All persons present must be vaccinated to participate in a yoga class mask-free. Masks are optional if everyone present is vaccinated.

After considerable deliberation, we have decided to adopt option 2; all persons coming to yoga class must be vaccinated and show proof of vaccination. As all of our teachers are vaccinated and practically all students are vaccinated, this changes little in the way we conduct classes.

Sound Journeys, however, draw a group beyond our regular yoga student base. So, for Sound Journeys we are asking that you please wear a mask.
