Restorative Yoga Teacher Training

March 7 - May 3, 2026

Restorative Yoga Teacher Training

Restorative Yoga is a form of yoga that focuses on deep relaxation and rejuvenation. It involves remaining in postures for extended periods with the support of props such as blankets, bolsters, and blocks to create comfort and ease. The intention is to invite opening and spaciousness in the physical body, bring balance and harmony to the energetic (subtle) body, and to pacify the nervous system.

The benefits of Restorative Yoga include stress reduction, improved sleep, increased flexibility, improved circulation, and support for health, healing, and holistic wellbeing.

All levels of yoga practitioners can benefit from Restorative Yoga, including beginners and those who enjoy a strong, vigorous asana practice.

Meet Your Teachers

Angela Strynkowski, E-RYT 500, YACEP

Susan Lawrence, RYT 500

Angela has been teaching yoga since 2000. Her teaching combines her experience and understanding of the Ashtanga Yoga System, Jivamukti Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Intergral Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, and Jnana Yoga. She encourages and challenges her students physically, mentally, and spiritually by allowing them to find their own way to Yoga. There is an element of focus and concentration, well-balanced with lightness, joy, and a sense of humor in all her classes.

Susan’s personal yoga practice has evolved over 25 years and informs her journey through life. She is trained in Hatha and Restorative Yoga. She studied with Andrea Karahalios in Miami in the tradition of the Himalayan Institute and the vinyasa flow method with RedTail Power Yoga in Hopewell Junction. She is a Relax and Renew Restorative Yoga instructor, certified by Judith Hanson Lasater and has studied the therapeutic applications of Restorative Yoga.
